I had the opportunity to be part of the web development team at Cambridge Analytica and SCL Group, where I played a pivotal role in maintaining the company’s online presence. At one point, I was the sole member of the web team, which placed significant responsibility on me to manage and oversee all aspects of web development. This role required a high level of independence, problem-solving, and technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of multiple high-profile websites.

One of my primary tasks involved maintaining the company’s portfolio of websites, including ca-political.com, ca-commercial.com, cambridgeanalytica.com, and sclgroup.cc. These websites were essential for presenting the public-facing image of the company’s diverse business arms, covering everything from political consulting to commercial services. My work ranged from performing regular updates and implementing design enhancements to ensuring the websites’ functionality, security, and performance remained optimal.

Given the visibility and importance of these sites, I worked diligently to ensure that each one was not only up-to-date with the latest content and features but also aligned with modern web standards and best practices. This included optimizing page load speeds, enhancing user experience, and making sure the websites were mobile-friendly, secure, and able to handle a significant volume of traffic. It was critical to maintain these sites’ professionalism, reliability, and appeal to various stakeholders.

In addition to routine maintenance, I was tasked with troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arose. Whether it was fixing bugs, improving backend systems, or implementing new functionalities as requested by different departments, I was responsible for the full cycle of web development. This required a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, along with the ability to manage server configurations and ensure website uptime.

Overall, my role in maintaining the digital presence of Cambridge Analytica and SCL Group was both challenging and rewarding. It provided me with invaluable experience in web development, particularly in managing high-traffic, mission-critical websites. Working as the sole member of the web team honed my skills in autonomy and adaptability, allowing me to contribute significantly to the company’s overall online strategy.
